| At
the core of all our deliverables is our laser-generated
digital terrain model. This is essentially
a points file, as dense or as thin as required,
adjusted to the clients datum and projection
needs. These XYZ points can be the only deliverable,
for a maximum savings to clients. |

advantage of a number of other value-added
alternatives we offer, such as contour mapping,
aerial photography including orthophotos,
and sophisticated 3-D modeling. |

| For planimetric
information, the most stunning results are
obtained by adding new color orthophotos (to
National Map Accuracy Standard specifications,
of course), which are excellent for underlaying
beneath the topo. Some users prefer imagery
to support their contour maps, but only for
general backup and visualization purposes.
For these projects, we typically add off-the-shelf
color photography, flown within the previous
12 months, with simple rectification to ensure
alignment with the topography. |

| Many of today's
projects completed via traditional photographic
means suffer from vegetation obscuring the
earth's surface. With LiDAR, wherever filtered
daylight reaches the ground, we can generally
expect solid return signals. This eliminates
the hash marks (or worse yet, inaccuracies)
found on most maps where substantial vegetation
is found. LiDAR is also proven in timber volume
mapping, where the tree type is input against
the laser's detected tree heights for automatic
volume estimations of large areas. |

| FEMA is ramping
up to become a significant customer of LiDAR
mapping technology. No other method comes
close to LiDAR accuracy, given the same production
rates and budgets. Overseas, some governments
have mandated that all broad-area high precision
topographic mapping be completed via LiDAR.
Many municipalities would map many more acres
per year, if a more cost effective method
